Later, in the middle of the 19th century, the British military brought the game home. Then the uniform was a classic shirt, trousers, high boots, a helmet and gloves. In 1890, the U.S. Polo Assn, who made uniforms specifically for equestrian polo players. The clothes remained the same, only the traditional trousers were replaced by breeches.
The form for playing tennis was no less important. The traditional outfit (shirt, tie and flannel trousers) was replaced by the French tennis player Rene Lacoste. He once wore a white shirt with a collar and buttons to a game. Later, Rene Lacoste founded his own brand, known as "Lacoste" and began to produce comfortable clothing for athletes. The designer's inventions were appreciated by all golfers, tennis players and yachtmen of that time.
The English tennis player Frederick Perry, who created the Fred Perry brand, turned out to be a follower of René Lacoste. He, in turn, improved the design of the polo shirt - he shortened the sleeve and added decorative stripes to the cuffs and collar. Later, Ben Sherman, Ralpf Lauren, Etro, Gucci, Missoni and many other fashion houses began to produce such T-shirts.
The polo has become a real must-have, and many celebrities have fallen in love with natural, breathable fabric and aristocratic design. Thus, the T-shirt migrated from sportswear to everyday wear. It is combined with many things - trousers, skirts, shorts. Classic sneakers, sneakers and moccasins are suitable as shoes.
