Choosing the perfect prom dress

The most amazing, most exciting and most unforgettable event in the life of every student – graduation is coming soon. And if it’s enough for the guys to put on a white shirt and black pants for the solemn part and they will look amazing, then we girls need to try to make the last evening at school special, so that we like ourselves and others, so much so that my heart sank from the universal: «Ah & hellip;».

To do this, you need to think over your image to the smallest detail, taking into account the characteristics of your figure, personal taste preferences and financial capabilities. And if you still have not decided on the image, we will save you time and calm your nerves by presenting a couple of tips on choosing the perfect outfit and picking up some of the most successful examples.

So…

The first thing to pay attention to when choosing a prom dress – is its style. It is on the style and cut that the general impression of others about the young graduate depends. And here it will not be superfluous to remember that there are such styles of prom dresses that do not go out of fashion and are unlikely to ever be considered anti-trends. This is an eternal classic of evening dresses. For example:

- dresses in the Greek style. Air flowing fabrics and soft lines of the silhouette always suit young beauties. They are very feminine and always look elegant and romantic. Perfect for graduation!

- floor-length dresses – a classic win-win option. There is nothing better for the bewitching whirlwind of the school waltz! But when choosing such a style, it is worth considering that not only the waltz is danced at the prom;

- short dress. A graduate in such an outfit seems to say: I – perky, incendiary, restless, bright! But the length of the mini, unfortunately, is only suitable for petite and slender girls;

- a dress with asymmetry for an elegant and at the same time daring look. Here you have both the frankness of the mini and the restraint of the maxi. A graduate in such an outfit attracts attention, puzzles, excites and delights!

- a puffy tulle dress – very airy outfit comes from childhood (the image of a girl in a puffy dress is associated with a cartoon princess, isn't it?). But such an outfit is very risky, because the dress is made of mesh or tulle requires a special entourage and will look much more appropriate at a friendly party, at a photo shoot or wedding.

The next step – choose a dress according to your figure! Remember that no matter what fashionable, beautiful and original prom dress you choose, if it does not suit your figure, then all its charms, its originality and uniqueness will be leveled, and all your efforts in choosing the perfect outfit –  no. Therefore:

  • for the hourglass figure (which, for a moment, many girls dream of) you can not be afraid to take a tight-fitting dress or an outfit with an emphasis on the waist. For example, a mermaid dress, a floor-length dress with a corset and bare shoulders, or an outfit with a V-neckline and a long skirt;
  • girls with a "triangle""or"pear" have wide hips and narrow shoulders, so they need to focus all their attention on the upper part of it. This will help short and maxi dresses made of transparent and light fabrics with a strapless bodice, with a halter neckline or with thin straps;
  • The inverted triangle body type – This is a wide upper body, wider than the hips. Girls with such a figure should try to at least visually create the illusion of a waist and distract attention from the shoulders, which will help ball gowns with a wide, very fluffy knee-length skirt;
  • for those with an apple"body shape" lucky with bust – he their luxurious, large and, most importantly, noticeable. This is where you need to direct all your strength and the center of attention & nbsp; of those around you. Therefore, instead of short dresses, it is better to choose an elongated or long dress with A-line embroidery, with a deep V-neck and strapless;
  • for a "rectangle" figure, dresses that emphasize either the bust or the hips & ndash; tulle with an asymmetrical neckline, corset, thin strapless bodice or ruffled skirt.

The final stage of choosing a dress for prom – is the selection of the color palette of the outfit. And in this matter, girls, as a rule, make the biggest mistake. The fact is that graduation party – is for most young people the first occasion in life to appear before their peers, teachers and parents in a new, already adult role. Therefore, graduates try to choose a long classic outfit in dark colors. But this is fundamentally wrong! Dark colors tend to add age, and they are unlikely to add charm. And light materials, light colors and floral prints, on the contrary, will help emphasize the freshness and youth of a young person. Believe me, you should not be ashamed of your youth!

How are you? You have decided on the style and color and already have an idea in which dress you will be divine? So it's time to buy it!
