Sonya Rykiel - trendsetter of "warm" fashion

Sunny autumn days are coming to an end and it's hard to believe that soon we will replace a light jacket with a jacket, and sandals with boots. But do not be upset, because autumn is a fabulous time of the year when the trees are dressed in luxurious yellow outfits. Do not forget about warm outfits for our loved ones, which will be discussed now.

One of the legislators of the "warm" fashion is the famous Frenchwoman Sonia Rykiel, who died on August 25 of this year from Parkinson's disease. The famous couturier won the title of "Queen of knitwear", because it was she who brought into fashion those many things that we now wear.

For example, sweater with printed words or slogans - who doesn't have this in their closet? What to say about the strip in clothes! At that time, she was considered an attribute of exclusively men's clothing, but Sonya broke the stereotypes and thus striped women's pullovers, jumpers and jackets appeared. The same goes for sweaters with inside-out seams - a real revolution in the fashion of the time.

Thanks to Sonia Rykiel, thin knitwear appeared on the podium for the first time, which resembles a second skin. According to a Frenchwoman, nothing suits pregnancy like a fitted knit dress... and she was right! In our time, this is no longer surprising.

In addition to knitwear, Sonya used materials such as tweed, crepe and wool. Her products were especially delicate and pleasant to the touch. The Frenchwoman was not a fan of luxurious shiny outfits in rhinestones, stones and sequins. She understood luxury differently: "A woman should look luxurious only when completely naked." 

The designer preferred black clothes, which reminded Coco Chanel. She proved to the whole world that black is not the color of mourning, but of elegance and taste. Sonya created her own line of accessories and taught the fragile half of humanity how to use them correctly - experiment and create different looks.

Her main inspiration was the women who surrounded her - her daughter, mother, friends. The fashion designer has always come up with interesting names for her clothing collections - for example, "Homeliness" or "Evening Dreams". Sonia Rykiel is a woman with a capital letter who has devoted all her 86 years to fashion.
