Then it was made of dense wool and was intended for travelers and monks. Such a fabric, combined with a practical style, served as excellent protection against rain and wind. Over time, the cape moved into the ladies' wardrobe and began to be sewn from expensive fabrics, decorated with stones, fringe and embroidery.

Now a cape is not a luxury or protection, but rather an original solution for autumn. This product has its undeniable advantages. For example, thanks to the free style, you can wear coarse knitted sweaters under it. Also, the cape hides figure flaws, but if you are a short lady with frankly magnificent forms, then such an element of the wardrobe will not suit you - it will visually make you even bigger. 

When creating autumn looks with a cape, there are many factors to consider. Due to the fact that such a product does not have sleeves, it will not be sweet in cold autumn, but long gloves can save the situation. Ideal companions for such a coat are classic trousers with pumps or jeans with ankle boots. In no case do not wear sneakers to such a classic piece of clothing. The maximum that you can afford is rough boots.

As for the length, the most popular is the cape to the middle of the thigh, but there are also long ones. With the latter, you need to be careful not to resemble Count Dracula.
