Anna Wintour - the iron lady of the fashion world

Who dictates fashion? Who spreads the red carpet for some promising designers, and closes the doors to the fashion industry for others? Who can we easily recognize by the restrained bob haircut and black Chanel glasses? An influential person in the fashion world - the editor of the American "Vogue" Anna Wintour. They call her «Bitch with a capital B» and Nuclear Wintour. This woman, thanks to her extreme focus and steel character, was able to achieve the impossible - to capture the entire fashion world.

From an early age, Anna was interested in fashion. At the age of ten, filling out a questionnaire, when asked who she would like to become in the future, she answered - the editor of Vogue. At the age of 16, Wintour was expelled from school due to non-compliance with the dress code: the girl preferred miniskirts instead of a school uniform. Then she decided to take up journalism in the field of fashion. Later, Anna moved to America and worked in famous magazines, but her biggest achievement was the position of editor-in-chief of Vogue. After Anna took this position, all editorial staff were required to follow certain rules: do not eat at work, do not gain weight, stick to style and have excellent taste. All this in order to immediately be seen - this person works in Vogue.

Anna Wintour can always be recognized by expensive restrained clothes, big black Chanel glasses and Manolo Blahnik shoes. She maintains a healthy lifestyle, waking up at 5:45 sharp every day, drinking a cup of coffee and playing tennis. During the day - work on the next issue of the magazine, and in the evening - visiting various events. Anna never carries a handbag, she always has only a phone, a checkbook and a diary with her. Former Vogue magazine assistant Weisberger, who managed to work with Anna for 10 months, wrote a book about her, The Devil Wears Prada. In the novel, she describes the editor as cold, ruthless and bitchy. Anna Wintour reacted to this with humor and came dressed in Prada clothes to the premiere of the film, which was later based on the book.

It is known that Anna was very fond of fur. This caused a lot of indignation on the part of animal rights activists. It got to the point that a cake was thrown in the woman's face with the words: "Fur is worn by beautiful animals and ugly people!" To which Anna, wiping the cake from her face, sharply replied: “Wear more fur.”

This woman is now 66 years old, 28 of which she has been the editor-in-chief of Vogue. - No. 1 fashion magazine in the world. Perhaps, it was her strong character that helped her seize fashion power, and her determination and cold mind made a revolution in this industry, so fickle and competitive.
